Edward Anthony Michalak, 78, of Greensburg, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Edward was the son of the late Edward J. and Lillian Michalak. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Mildred Rebaric and a nephew, Mark Michalak. Edward is by his wife, Linda J. Tatters-Michalak of Greensburg; son, Edward J. Michalak and his wife, Lynda of York, PA; stepchildren, Dawn Backos (Jerry) of Greensburg, James Tatters (Wendy) of Jeannette and Paige Cermak (Mila) of Level Greens. Edward was a loving grandfather to, Brandon, Glenn, Chrissy (Gary), Shawn, (Rachel), Alexandria (Chris), Natalia, Tyler (Ashley), Kaylee, Jocelyn and Milan. Edward was especially excited to be great grandfather to Logan, Enzo, Paisley, and Brian. Edward is also survived by a brother, Anthony Michalak (Margaret) of Greensburg and brother-in-law, Keith Rebaric of Costa Mesa, CA. Edward graduated from St. Mary’s High School, Manhasset, NY. Edward was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving two tours of duty in the United States Navy. Edward was a member of Masonic Lodge, 225 in Greensburg and served as a past master in 1984 and 2001. Ed also enjoyed hunting and fishing and belonged to the Keystone Rod and Gun Club. There will be no visitation or services at this time. A celebration of Edward’s life is being planned.
