Eleanor Rhodes

July 10, 1911 — August 14, 2010

Eleanor W. Rhodes, 99 of Greensburg, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2010 in St. Anne Home.

She was born July 10, 1911 in South Greensburg, a Daughter of the late Albert G. and Elizabeth L. Wengert.

She was a member of the First Christian Church for 69 years, was a Sunday School teacher and member of the Christian Church Women's Fellowship. She also sang in the church choir.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard "Dusty" Rhodes, a son Thomas A. Rhodes, Siblings, William Wengert, Lorene Jones, Ruth Long and Grandchildren Chris Rhodes , Kathryn E. Chmiel and Jeffery T. Rhodes.

Surviving are her children Richard G. Rhodes and wife Sandra of Pittsburgh, Gladys R. Chmiel of Wisconsin, Robert D. Rhodes and wife Deborah of Greensburg and daughter-in-law Catherine Rhodes of Hawaii along with Eleven Grandchildren, Fourteen Great -Grandchildren, and six Great Great Grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home,Inc., 524 North Main St. Greensburg on
Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM.
Additional viewing will be on Thursday at
the First Christian Church, 134 Matthews St., Greensburg, from 10 to 11 am followed by a service at 11 am with Rev. Renny Domske officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Clair Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of New Haven Court and St. Anne Home for the loving and professional care they gave to Eleanor and the kindness they extended to the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The First Christian Church in Eleanor's memory.
