Elinore Tinkey

Elinore Louise Tinkey, 94 of Greensburg, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2009 in Suunyland Retirement Home in Pleasant Unity.

She was born Saturday, July 24, 1915 in Mt. Pleasant , Daughter of the late Tom and Cora Hauger Kough.

Elinore was a member of Church of the Brethren of Southwest Greensburg and had worked before retiring for the Westmoreland County Girls Scouts office in Greensburg.

She was preceded in death besides her parents by her husband, Walter E. Tinkey and sisters Lucile Neiderhiser and Dorothy Smith.

Surviving are her Son, W. Edward Tinkey Jr. and wife Marlene of Greensburg , Grandson, Robert E. Tinkey, three great Granddaughters, Virginia Tinkey, Chelsey Tinkey, Rachael Tinkey, a Brother, Thomas Kough of Ligonier and nieces Peggy Reidmiller and Bonnie Bach.

Family and Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main St. Greensburg.

Services will be held at the Church of the Brethren, corner of Mace and Stanton Street, Southwest Greensburg on Wednesday at 1:30 pm with Rev. William Waugh officiating.

Entombment will follow in the Westmoreland Co. Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Church of the Brethren.
