Emma C. (Myers) Morrison, 91 of Greensburg, , passed away suddenly, Thursday, November 28, 2013 in the Greensburg campus of The Rehabilitation & Nursing Center at Greater Pittsburgh.
She was born July 31, 1922 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Harry and Katherine (McGivern) Myers.
Prior to retirement, she worked as a teacher's aide for the Westmoreland County Intermediate Unit for 21 years. Emma was a life-long member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral and a member of the Rosary Altar Society of Saint Bruno's.
She loved working in her yard, doing crafts, going to dollar stores, baking cookies and making pizzelles, but most of all she loved her extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death her husband, James Morrison on December 7, 1969; son, Thomas Morrison on May 19, 2003, sister, Jean Zappone and her husband, Larry; sister, Kathleen Wendell and her husband, Robert; brother, Edward Myers and his wife, Doris; and niece, Susan Myers Bradley.
She is survived by her son, James Morrison and his wife, Patsy; son, Mark Morrison; daughter-in-law, Cindy Morrison; and three grandchildren, Katy Patton and her husband, Bryan, Robert (RJ) Morrison and his wife, Becky, and Jennifer Morrison, and three great grandsons, Braydon Patton, Rylan Patton, and Lucas Morrison. She is also survived by her nephew, Lawrence Richard Zappone and his wife, Christine and their children, Richard and his wife, Jessica, Matthew and his wife, Kristin, Allison and John Zappone; and a niece Kathy Myers McCormick and her husband, Judge Richard E. McCormick, Jr. and their children, Richard and Susan and Patrick Bradley, Jr., husband of Susan Myers Bradley, and their children, Becca Szweda and her husband, Scott and Patrick Bradley III; and several great-great- nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Rehabilitation & Nursing Center at Greater Pittsburgh in Greensburg for their care and loving support over the past several months.
Friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 5pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street Greensburg.
A prayer service will be held on Monday morning at the funeral home starting at 9am, followed by a funeral mass at 9:30am at the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral.
Interment will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
