Eunice Troy

Eunice Smail Troy, 94, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at her home at the Masonic Village at Sewickley. Born on September 17, 1917 in Weltytown, PA, Eunice was the daughter of the late Victor Z. and Grace Marsteller Smail. She was a member of the Third United Church of Christ in Greensburg and the Women's Fellowship. Eunice became a member of the Order of the Eastern Star on November 7, 1950 and served as Worthy Matron of the Gelston Chapter, Number 435 from May 1968 to May 1969. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Regis S. Troy, brothers Richard Smail and Lawrence (Bud) Smail, as well as, her sister, June McClarran. Surviving are her brothers Paul Smail of Hyattsville, Maryland and Dean Smail of Summerville, South Carolina and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg on Monday, April 2, 2012 from 10 to 11am followed by brief services by the Order of Eastern Star, William E. Gelston Chapter 435 of Greensburg and Rev. Bob Garris.
