Ever Dorsey

Mrs. Ever L. Dorsey, born September 18,1921 passed away peacefully at her home in Williamsburgand went to see her God on Saturday January 14,2012. Mrs. Dorsey lived in Alabama until the age of 15. She relocated with her family to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she completed her Public School Education at Allderdice High School. She later met and married Fred Dorsey. Ever and Col. Dorsey lived post World War II in Japan and France for many years. They later settled in Nassau County, New York near the base where he was stationed. After Col. Dorsey's death, Mrs. Dorsey moved to Williamsburg, VA. where she volunteered as a greeter at Williamsburg Community Hospital, was a active member of Le Cercle Charmant,Inc., and St. Martin's Episcopal Church. Auntie Ev, as she was affectionately called,was a loving caregiver for six of her relatives over the years. Mrs. Dorsey was preceded in death by her devoted husband Col. Fred Dorsey(Ret), her mother, Mattie Lou Ray, and her younger sister, Doris Drummond of California. She is survived by her brother Edward D. Ray of Greensburg, Pa. and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Family and friends are invited to a remembrance service on Friday at 1 pm in the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg. Interment will follow in the Restland Memorial Park.
