Florence E. Garchar, 84 of Greensburg, passed away, Sunday, March 30, 2014 in Excela Health: Westmoreland Hospital.
She was born September 1, 1929 in Greensburg, daughter of the late Jacob and Emma (Enos) Straslicka.
Florence was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral.
She worked at the Norvelt Clothing Factory (AMCO) as a supervisor and later became a Purchasing Agent for Crown Creative Industries.
Besides her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her brother, William Straslicka, and sister, Margaret Kelly.
Surviving are her husband, Frank M. Garchar, son, Gregory F. Garchar, nieces and nephews, and beloved pets, Tweety, Kayla, Mickey, and Little Angel.
Family and friends will be received Thursday from 2-4pm and 6- 8 pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street Greensburg.
A prayer service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 9:30am followed by a funeral mass at the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral at 10:00 am.
Entombment will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
