Fred Fauth

Fred G. Fauth, 69 of Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2010 in Select Specialty Hospital, Latrobe.

He was born May 14, 1940 in Tarentum, PA, a Son of the late Frederick E. and Margaret (Reitmeyer) Fauth.
He grew up in the Sheridan Section of Pittsburgh and moved to Greensburg in 1956. He graduated from Greensburg Salem High School- class of 1958. Fred attended classes offered by General Motors for different phases of automobile repair. He was employed by Bud Miller Chevrolet for a number of years and also worked at Rhey Mentzer Ford and Mohler Buick. He opened his own business "Fauth Auto Service" in April 1970, which is still in operation, run by his son Chris. He liked to work with wood and build things, but his great love was cars especially Chevelles.

Fred was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral Church, in Greensburg.

Surviving are his loving wife, Nancy (Darko) Fauth and Four Sons, Lee Fauth of Export, Randy Fauth and wife Karen of Jeannette, Chris Fauth and wife Amy and Greg Fauth and wife Missy both of Greensburg, Six Grandchildren, Julie and Jamie Fauth of Wichita , Kansas, Crow Lynn Fauth of Grand Blanc, Michigan, Dante, Conner and Tyler Fauth all of Greensburg, Three Great Grandsons, and two Sisters, Mary Shipley and husband Pete of Plantation, FL, and Peggy Helbling and husband Rick of Windermere, FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received Sunday 1-4 & 6-8 PM at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home,Inc., 524 North main St., Greensburg, PA.

A prayer service will be held on Monday at 9:00 am in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30 am in the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral.
Entombment will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
