Gene Vogt

 Gene Vogt, 100 formerly of Greensburg, passed away on June 17, 2024. She was born April 16, 1924 in California, PA, a daughter of the late Arthur L. and Hallie M. (Irwin) Williams. Gene was a member of Maplewood Presbyterian Church where she was a Deacon and Elder. She enjoyed volunteering with the Greensburg Hempfield Library. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl V. Vogt; daughter, Bethany Ann Vogt; and sisters, Ruth Powell, Eleanor Easton, and Mary Baker. Surviving are her sons, Brian Vogt (Sheri) and Chris Vogt (Laura) both of California; three grandchildren, Jason Vogt, Kristen Davis and Christopher Vogt; five step grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 2nd at 11am at Maplewood Presbyterian Church 108 Woodland Road, Greensburg, PA with the Rev. Steve LaSor officiating. Interment will follow in St. John Union Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant Township. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Maplewood Presbyterian Church, 108 Woodland Road, Greensburg, PA 15601.
