Gerald "Jerry" "Duke" Answine, 80, of Greensburg , passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 9, 2022. He was the son of the late Philip J. "Cargo" and Jenny Kuzmkowski Answine. Jerry was a well-loved member of the community, who will always be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, family member, and friend. He may no longer be with us, but the ways in which he touched our hearts will forever bring us comfort. Originally from Jeannette, Jerry lived in Greensburg for 54 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Greensburg. Jerry loved spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's activities as a proud grandfather. He enjoyed golfing and was a founding member of the West Point Little League, former treasurer and current trustee of FCC and a proud member of the Mount Odin Golf Association (MOGA). In addition to his parents, Jerry was also preceded in death by a brother Philip "Jazzy" Answine. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Beverly Murray Answine; his three children, Michael (Michele) Answine, Jeffrey (Marianne) Anzovino, Michelle (Brian) Selip; a brother Fred; grandchildren Mitchell, Jenna, Christa, Lauren; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their thanks to Excela Health Hospice and a special thanks to Chrissy.
Family and friends will be received, Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 in the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, Inc. 524 N. Main St. Greeensburg. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 134 Mathews St, Greensburg, PA 15601 In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
