Gerald B. Harrison, 67, of West Mifflin, passed away, Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born September 17, 1946 in Bronx, NY a son of the late John and Leona Gleason Harrison.
Prior to his retirement, he was President and CEO of Jerry Harrison Associates, a television production company. His career in television earned him numerous awards including an Emmy and an A.C.E. He was the executive producer for the documentary" Roots of Rock 'n Roll," which is presently on exhibition at the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. Since his retirement, he had been employed by Home Depot, West Mifflin.
He is survived by his fiancAC., Tenley Comunale; his three children, Stephani Reardon (Todd); Steven Harrison (Hilary); Scott Harrison (Carolyn); five grandchildren, two sisters , one brother, several nieces and nephews and his pet dog, Joe.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Merle Harrison.
There will be no public viewing. A memorial service is being planned for a later date to be held in New York City. Arrangements have been entrusted to the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 N. Main St. Greensburg, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any local library.
