Geraldine Claar

October 5, 1919 — November 6, 2012

Geraldine ( Gerrie) W. Claar 93, of Greensburg passed away on Tuesday November 6, 2012 at the Excela Westmoreland Hospital.

She was born on October 5, 1919 in Greensburg and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Margaret Waugaman.

Gerrie was a graduate of Greensburg High School and a lifetime member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Greensburg.

Before her retirement she was part owner of the Waugaman Market in Greensburg where she worked for over 60 years.

Gerrie enjoyed trips with her husband in their RV over the years to all 48 states.

In addition to her parents, Gerrie was preceded in death by her brother, Harvey B. Waugaman.

She is survived by her loving husband Ellis Claar whom she married in 1949 at the Trinity United Church of Christ.

Also surviving is her brother Clarence J. Waugaman Jr. and nephews Byron Waugaman and wife Kathleen, G. Lynn Waugaman, Charles and Keith Waugaman and great nephew Sean Waugaman. Gerrie will be sadly missed by her loving family and friends.

Family and friends will be received at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, ( an authorized remembrance provider) 524 N. Main St. Greensburg on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Services will be held on Friday at (12) Noon in the funeral home with Rev. Jane Young officiating.

Interment will follow in the Westmoreland Co. Memorial Park.
