Geralyn A. Sample, 59, of Greensburg passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
Geralyn was born in 1956 to Gerald Sample and Garnet (Foster) Sample in Kittanning.
She graduated from Hempfield High School and the Business Career Institute of Greensburg. Geralyn was retired as a administrative assistant from the Pentagon, working for the Department of Defense. After moving back to Greensburg, she also worked as a caregiver.
Geralyn was a caring and generous women with a kind heart and had many friends. She enjoyed crocheting and hiking. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth Nicholson, Greensburg; a sister Jackie Sample-Sabbe, Jeannette; and an aunt, Dolores Thomas, PA, and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved dog Sparky.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 6-8 PM at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg, a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM from the funeral home with Dr. Olivia Graham officiating.
Burial will be private.
