Germaine Matrozzo

Germaine "Gerry" Josephine (Polak) Matrozzo, 78, of Greensburg, died Friday, July 3, 2015, at her home. She was born Aug. 24, 1936, in Rices Landing, a daughter of the late John and Josephine Salosky Polak. She was Catholic by faith. Prior to retirement, Gerry was employed as a waitress for various restaurants. She enjoyed playing bunco and bingo with her friends at Pershing Square. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Matrozzo; two brothers, Roy and Arthur Polak; also two sisters, Virginia Habe and Leona Trbovich. Gerry is survived by her daughter, Veronica Lynn Brighton and her husband, Michael, of Greensburg; and her sister, Barbara Moriarity, of Parma Heights, Ohio; also a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg. Her services and interment will be private.
