Gladys Rau Rosensteel, 89, formerly of Greensburg, passed away on June 7, 2018 in North Port, FL.
She was born on March, 24, 1929 in Jeannette, to the late Amandus and Emily Palmer Stoup.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl W. Rau and Ernest C. Rosensteel and two sisters, Joyce Husfelt and Helen Comp.
Gladys is survived by her beloved children, Lynn Sutor, son, Craig Rau (Jill), Susan Fox (Robert) and Carla Farzati (Larry); her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Donna Brajdic (Robert); stepson, Vaughan Rosensteel (Chris and family) as well as numerous family members and friends.
Gladys was a member of Harrold Zion Lutheran Church, Harrold Garden Club and was the founder of Thyme for Herbs. Gladys will be fondly remembered for her talented hands. Whether playing the piano or organ, painting one of a kind gifts for family and friends, creating flower arrangements made from plants grown in her garden, sewing or knitting her talents were endless as was her love for her family. "When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure." The family would like to thank the staff at The Springs at South Biscayne and Tidewell Hospice for the loving care Gladys received.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 4-8pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg where services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30am with Rev. John Smaligo officiating.
Interment will follow in the Harrold Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
