Glenda R. Berg, 79, of Greensburg (Hempfield Township), passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018, from complications due to a recent illness. She was born Jan. 25, 1939, in Mt. Pleasant Township, a daughter of the late Jesse and Luemma (Musgrove) Baker.
Glenda was a lifelong and devoted member of the First Reformed United Church of Christ, Greensburg, where she participated in the choir, bell choir, friendship circle and many other social groups and committees. Notably in June 2015, she successfully completed study and training at the Penn West Academy of Ministry to become a lay minister, and thereafter she enjoyed delivering sermons and ministry to various congregations in the local area. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a caring friend to many. Strong willed and independent to the end, her devotion to God provided her with strength and comfort. Her presence will be missed, but her memory and spirit will live on with all whom she touched during her life.
Glenda is survived by her loving family, her son, Paul L. Berg Jr and his wife, Carol; her daughter, Callie Buzard and her husband, Joseph; and grandsons, Eric Buzard and Kyle Buzard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Berg Sr.; and her brother, Jesse Baker Jr.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg. Private burial will take place in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are invited to gather for Glenda's memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018, in the First Reformed United Church of Christ, 312 S.
