Responding to God's last call, Reverend Gwen Gettemy Santiago (Gigi) went to be with The Lord on Friday, September  9, 2016.  Having met the Lord at age 3, she remained close to Him throughout her life.  She was daughter, sister, mother, teacher, encourager, evangelist, counselor and guide of those in need.  She was a servant of all. She was studious and practical, she was a visionary leader, and a mover and shaker wherever she went. Her compass was always pointing to God's grace, goodness and mercy. Triumphs and successes moved her to give thanks and praises to The Lord. Failures and disappointments brought her closer to God for comfort and solace. After having served as a volunteer all her life in the church, in 2012 she was ordained a priest in the Episcopal Church.  Her Bible quote to live by was " My people perish for lack of knowledge ". She was preceded in death by her mother, Sally, and her grandson, the light of her life, Alexander Moreland.  She is survived by the love and soulmate of her heart, Reverend Vicente Santiago, her father, Russell Gettemy, her daughters and sons-in-law and grandchildren: Gwen & George Moreland, Sara & David Frye, Susane & Kurt Kerin (Daniel), Patricia & Rob Williams, Anita & Will Saplan (Logan & Mason); her brothers and their families: Matthew Gettemy (Josh & family, Taralynn & Margaret), Robert Gettemy (Iris, Dani Rae & Alaina) .  All who knew her were blessed by her love.  She knew her worth in God's eyes, and taught others to recognize their worth in Him.  Praise God from whom all blessing flow, Alleluia!  Come, Lord Jesus!  Friends and family will be received on Wednesday  from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg.  Reverend Santiago’s funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM in Christ’s Church, 145 North Main Street, Greensburg, 15601 with The Right Rev. Dorsey McConnell officiating.  Please everyone go directly to the church.  Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers and in memory of Gwen Santiago, please make a donation to Christ’s Church Organ Fund at the above address.  For online condolences and information, please visit www.kepplegraft.com
