Hazel Sizemore

March 30, 1918 — November 11, 2014

Hazel Sizemore, 96, of West End, NC, stepped into the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on 11 November 2014, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.

She was born March 30, 1918, in McCarr Ky., a daughter of the late Jerry and Jewell (Pope) Ison. She was a member of the Alpha Ministries in South Greensburg Pa. Her passion was for the Church, family, flowers and gardening. She raised her family in Blackberry City W.Va., moved to Greensburg in 1959, and retired from Westmoreland Regional Hospital with 22 years of service. She then moved to Seven Lakes, West End, NC, to be close to her family. She enjoyed working with her hands, her garden, helping neighbors and her church community.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy C. Sizemore and her son, Jerry B. Sizemore; two brothers, Ralph Ison and Dennis Ison.
She is survived by a son, Larry Sizemore and his wife, Jerry of West End, NC; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg Pa, Sunday November 16, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 17 at 10:30a.m., in the funeral home, with Rev. James Lyons officiating. Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery, Hempfield Township.
