Helen Murray

Helen E. Murray, 94, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, in Excela Westmoreland Hospital. She was born in Greensburg and was a daughter of the late John E. and Bertha (McCurdy) Eisaman. Helen was a graduate of Greensburg High School class of 1937 and the Comptometer School in Pittsburgh. She was an antique dealer and a certified appraiser from 1979 until she retired in 1991. Helen had been a life member and deacon of First Presbyterian Church in Greensburg. Helen was a gold star member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 281, a past president of the Greensburg YWCA, a member of the Westmoreland Hospital Ladies Auxiliary Unit No. 14, a member of the Tuesday Literary Club, a past board member of the Westmoreland County Historical Society and served on the women's committee of the Westmoreland Museum of American Art. She was a past president of the Hannastown Women's Gold Association and member of the Pennsylvania Antique Dealers Association. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wakefield Maxton Murray; and two brothers, Lewis M. Eisaman and John "Jack" Eisaman. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela L. Murray, of Palm Beach Shores, Fla.; son, John Wakefield Murray and wife, Kathryn, of Ithaca, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Candace D. (Jason) Seifer, of Orlando, Fla., Christine L. (Brian) Watson, of Tampa, Fla., and Caitlin B. Murray, of Chicago, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. BFamily and friends will be received 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday and 10 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg. A service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Martin Ankrum officiating.
