Helen L. Spade, 93 of South Greensburg died on March 13, 2014 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born on February 23, 1921 in Hunker and was the daughter of the late Richard and Edith (Barnhart) Cramer.
Helen was a retired employee with the former A E Troutman's Dept. Store in Greensburg.
She was a longtime member of the South Greensburg United Methodist Church and involved with their Bible Study Group, Quilting Group and the Historical Group of the Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death in 1993 by her loving husband Howard "Spud" L. Spade.
Helen is survived by Carolyn (Tony) Mariani, Susan Mariani, all of Greensburg. Along with numerous cousins, many nieces and nephews and many close friends, with Special Thanks to Jane, Cindy and Jeannie for their acts of kindness.
The family wishes to thank the Westmoreland Manor Staff and especially the B2 Wing and the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital ICU 610 Unit for all their care and compassion given to Helen.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 1-3pm at the South Greensburg United Methodist Church 411 Sheridan Avenue, Greensburg, PA 15601 where services will be held beginning at 3pm.
Interment will take place in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Greensburg United Methodist Church 411 Sheridan Avenue, Greensburg, PA 15601.
