Helen Wilson Williams, 83, of Greensburg, passed away, Monday, June 14, 2010 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital. She was born May 9, 1927 in Murrysville a daughter of the late Homer and Orpha Whipkey Wilson.
Helen was executive secretary to Richard Mellon prior to her retirement and was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, Greensburg where she served as organist for 25 years. She also did volunteer work at Westmoreland Hospital and the Greensburg Library
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, R. Nelson Williams, January 26, 1994.
She is survived by her sister, Jean W. Arvin; two nephews, David Arvin and wife Kathleen; James Arvin and wife Mary and a niece Susan Arvin.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 6 to 8 pm in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 N. Main St. Greensburg. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 am in Unity Chapel, Latrobe with Rev. Robert C. Wilson officiating. Private interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 15 E. Second St. Greensburg, PA 15601. Terence L. Graft, funeral director, entrusted with the arrangements.
