Irene Wineland Smith, 94 of Greensburg passed away on Friday, January 21, 2011 in Hempfield Manor..
She was born Monday, March 13, 1916 in Hempfield Twp. and was the Daughter of the late Arthur A. and Ella Struble Wineland.
Irene was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greensburg and a longtime member of the Greater Greensburg Senior Citizens Center at the Greensburg Armory.
Before her retirement she was a Licensed Practical Nurse for Westmoreland Manor and also did private duty nursing.
She was preceded in death besides her parents by her husband, Frank C. Smith and brothers Raymond, Wilbur , Sam and George Wineland and her sister Rebecca Cargo .
Surviving are her loving Daughter, Judy Zello and husband Joseph of Greensburg, Grandsons Joe Jr. and wife Beverly and Robert Zello and wife Kim , and Granddaughter, Melissa McCoy and husband Tim along with two great grandchildren Matthew Zello and Cassidy McCoy.
Family and Friends will be received Monday from 5 to 8 PM at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main Street Greensburg.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 10:30 am with Pastor Marleen Griffith-Stull officiating.
Interment will follow in the Brush Creek Cemetery.
