Izabel D. (Betty) Roskosh, 93 of Greensburg, passed away, Friday, March 14, 2014 in Redstone Highlands.
She was born January 30, 1921 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Thomas F. and Myrtle (Zilliot) Dougherty.
Betty had a heavenly voice. She sang for President Kennedy and toured Europe singing classical opera. She entertained for years as owner of The Everglades on Route 30 Greensburg and before retiring she worked at the Westmoreland County Courthouse. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church in Greensburg.
Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Hoyes on September 18, 1973 and her second husband, Martin J. Roskosh on March 20, 1984.
She is survived by her stepchildren, James M. Roskosh (Patricia) of Ligonier, Edward M. Roskosh (Linda) of Adamsburg, Robert M. Roskosh (Valerie) of Greensburg, Rebecca J. (Roskosh) Nolen (Peter) of Murrysville, and Jill S. (Roskosh) Schall (James) of Jeannette;
loving grandchildren, Kelley, Melissa, Martin, Jane, Christopher, Andrew and Alexander; great grandchildren, Becca, Samantha, Grace, Ryann, Quinn and Caitlin; a number of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 3-7 pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street Greensburg.
A prayer service will be held on Monday in the funeral home at 9:30 am followed by a funeral mass, at 10 AM in Our Lady of Grace Church with Father Dan Blout officiating.
Entombment will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont.
