Jack C. Poole

Jack C. Poole, 94, of Greensburg, died, Monday, November 6, 2023, in Redstone Highlands. He was born February 21, 1929, in South Greensburg, a son of the late Clarence Poole and Margaret Croushore Poole. Jack was Methodist by faith. He was a veteran and served with the Army. Prior to retirement, he taught Junior High English and history for Hempfield Area School District. He also coached Junior High basketball for a number of years. Jack enjoyed bowling and golf and was a member and former secretary at Robertshaw Golf Course. As a young man, Jack also excelled as a pitcher in various area fast pitch softball leagues. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Barnhart Poole. Jack is survived by his daughter, Janet Brunozzi (Danny); his grandchildren, Danielle Smith (Robert) and Michael Brunozzi (Mackenzie); 3 great grandsons, Ayden, Daniel and Patrick Smith; his sister, Lois Stoner; and three nieces and three nephews. Visitation and services for Jack will be private and are being handled by Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, Greenburg. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
