James A. Armstrong, 65 of Greensburg died on Friday 1/3/2013 in Unity Township. He was born in Arona on 10/8/1948 and was the son of the late Alvin and Elsie Oplinger Armstrong.
Jim served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was a lifetime member of the Christ Church in Greensburg and had served for m many years as the church sextant. He also was a semi- retired machinist.
In addition to his parents Jim was preceded in death by his brother William Armstrong and a sister Gloria Snyder.
He is survived by his loving wife Penny Jean Armstrong and their two daughters Stacey (Mark) Wiltrout and Tonya (Tom) Kott and an adored granddaughter Kaitlyn Kott and his four brothers, Roy (Jeanne) Armstrong, Tom Armstrong, Stan (Jaye) Armstrong and Ron (Janet) Armstrong along with numerous nieces and nephews and his extended family.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg.
Services will be held on Thursday in Christ Church at 10 am with Rev. Larry Knotts as officiating. (Everyone go directly to the church)
Interment with full military honors accorded by VFW Post # 33 will follow in the St. Clair Cemetery.
