James Emanuel DeMuth, Jr., 76 of Greensburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at his home.
Jim was born August 8, 1932 in Hummelstown, the Son of the late James E.,Sr. and Ethel (Warble) DeMuth.
He served in the US Navy for four years after which he attended Hershey Junior College.
Jim was formerly employed as manager of Mountain View Inn for ten years and subsequently became manager of the Greater Greensburg Sewage Authority .
After retirement he served on the board of United Way and as head of the Alzheimer's Association of Westmoreland County. Jim enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Ligonier Country Club.
Surviving are his loving wife of thirty-six years, Rebecca Gallagher Quinn DeMuth, three Brothers, Robert Charles DeMuth and wife Audrey of Sarasota, FL., Donald DeMuth and wife Nancy of Wilmington, NC, and Michael DeMuth and wife Becky of Omaha, Nebraska, and numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Honoring Jim's wishes there will be no public visitation.
A funeral service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 300 South Main St., Greensburg on Monday, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Martin Ankrum officiating.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Gall's office and staff, the nurses on floors one and three of Excela Westmoreland Hospital, and Oak Hill Nursing Home staff for their amazing care.
