James M. Hutchison, 86, of Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in Greensburg Care Center. He was born in Clinton, Iowa on October 13, 1924, son of the late James R. and Vera (Marshall) Hutchison. Jim was a graduate of Greensburg High School, Class of 1941. He earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree from Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois. Jim served as an Oriental Language Interpreter in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during World War II. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greensburg where he served as Deacon. Jim will be remembered for his gentlemanly manner, clever sense of humor, knowledge of American history, and participation in politics. He was preceded in death by his twin sister, Mary Alice Campbell, and is survived by nieces, nephews, and feline pal Jimmy. Sincere gratitude is expressed to the staff of Greensburg Care Center and Grane Hospice for their exceptional and compassionate care. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Greensburg. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 21 at 10:00am at the chapel of First Presbyterian Church, 300 South Main Street, Greensburg.
