James Leland “Lee” Kuhns, 92, of Greensburg died Friday, August 5, 2022, at his home, peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born on December 21, 1929, in Avonmore, a son of the late Lawrence Kuhns and Welzie Shaffer Kuhns. He was a former member of Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greensburg. He was a veteran and served as a Corporal with the Army during the Korean War. He was also a former member of the Roosevelt Club, Greensburg Moose, Old Crabtree Sportsman’s Association and the American Legion Post 344, Jeannette. In his younger days, he enjoyed and excelled in all sports and golfed at Mt. Odin. He was an avid hunter and hunted with his sons. He also enjoyed collecting stamps and coins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Josselyn; his six brothers, Glenn, Donald, Raymond, Robert, Kenneth and Clair Kuhns. James is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty Lou McClure Kuhns; his children, James R. Kuhns (Diane), Carol Michaels (Dave), Susan M. Radomski (Rich) and Richard A Kuhns (Stacey); his grandchildren, Alicia Jones (Tito), Amanda Kuhns Taylor (Chris), Shane Cover (Milana), Ian Kuhns (Amber), Derek Kuhns (Meah), Ryan Kuhns, Devon Boyd and Jared Kuhns; 2 great granddaughters, Natalie Cover and Kinsley Kuhns; son-in-law, Robert Josselyn; also, several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg. A funeral service for James will be held on Wednesday at 10 am in the funeral home.
