James Stark

James J. "Chef" Stark, 73, of Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born at home on June 4, 1940, in East Pittsburgh, Chalfont Borough, and was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Gulentz) Stark. He was the executive chef (retired) for the former Mountain View Inn for more than 30 years. Surviving are his loving wife, Janis (Ross) Stark; children, Greg (Debbie) Stark, Gary (Tracie) Stark and Staci Christopher; five grandchildren, Cody Stark, Lauren and Haley Stark, Wesley and Haris Christopher; his sister, Dorothy (Wash) Gjebre; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be receivedfrom 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, with services to follow in the funeral home with the Rev. Susan Fritz officiating. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either Trinity United Church of Christ, 139 N.
