Jane Boyles
July 23, 1931 — February 16, 2012
Jane M. Boyles, 80, of Greensburg passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012 in Westmoreland Hospital in the arms of her daughter. Born July 23, 1931 in White Plains, NY to Engolf and Martha Soltvedt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Boyles. She was a graduate of Briarcliff College and retired a school teacher. She was active in the First United Methodist Church in Greensburg and a volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels, hospice bear buddies and was a foreign child sponsor. She was an active member of McKenna Senior Center, an avid line dancer, YMCA swimmer, yoga, neighborhood bible study, Avon representative, and neighborhood angel to all.
She is survived by her loving daughter and best friend, Linda M. (Boyles) Turoski and son-in-law, Nicholas Turoski of Summerville, SC, and a large extended family in Follesse, Norway. Her loving and happy spirit was an inspiration and will be missed by all.
Honoring Jane's wishes there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held Monday at 11 am at the First United Methodist Church 15 E. Second Street, Greensburg officiated by Pastor Stephen Morse. (Everyone please go directly to the church) Following the memorial, burial will be held in Scottdale Cemetery and all are invited to attend.
