Janet Anne Riding

Janet Anne Riding, 86 of Hamburg, NY, formerly of Greensburg, PA passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 in UPMC Mercy Hospital. She was born March 18, 1939 in Bournemouth, England, a daughter of the late Gordan Turpie and Ivy Kate Atkinson Turpie. Janet loved crafts and was exceptionally good at cross-stitching and flower arranging. She volunteered for Christian Laymen when she lived in Greensburg. She was an avid Bridge player, enjoying the game as often as 4 or 5 times a week. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Alan John Riding; and her sister, Joy Thompson. Surviving are her daughter, Vanessa (Kurt) Rich, of Hamburg, N.Y.; son, Chris Riding (Maryann), of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Devon (Bill) Asboth, Duncan Riding, Luke Rich (Josseline) and Clayton Riding; three step-grandchildren, Gunnar, Ana and Griffin Bearley; and three great-grandchildren, Rose and Annie Asboth and Baylee Rich. Friends and family will be received on Saturday, March 29th from 1pm to 3:30pm at KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 North Main St., Greensburg, where a 3:30pm funeral service will follow.
