Janice Ann James passed away peacefully on April 15th at her home in Greensburg, PA, she was 85.
Janice is survived by her beloved husband, Boyce (“Mike”) of 65 years; son, Jeff of Greensburg; daughter, Jennifer and son-in-law Al Ridilla of Hilton Head, SC; and two grandsons, Andrew Ridilla of Duluth, GA and Michael Ridilla of Florence, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Beatrice Wetzel along with her sister, Virginia Tedesco and brothers, Emerson and Eugene Wetzel.
Janice was born in McKeesport, PA on May 14, 1938. After graduating from McKeesport HS in 1956 she became Secretary to the Superintendent of schools until marrying her high school sweetheart in 1959. She then moved to Ohio and worked at Muskingham University. After Mike’s graduation, the happy couple returned to Greensburg and worked together for more than 48 years in several entrepreneurial business ventures until retiring together in 2008.
Janice loved life, adored her two grandsons, was a friend to all pets and strong advocate for the Humane Society. She was an avid cook and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Her most cherished memories include travel to Green Turtle Cay, Bahamas, and many other global travel adventures with the love of her life, Mike.
Visitation is scheduled at KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg on Friday, April 19th from 3:00-7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday April 20th at First Presbyterian Church 300 S. Main Street, Greensburg. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church.
