Jean George

Jean (Robb) George, 87, of Greensburg, died Monday, May 29, 2017, at the Redstone Highlands of Greensburg. She was born on Oct. 9, 1929, in Greensburg,  and was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Stewart Robb. Jean was a retired trust officer in the trust department of the former Southwest Bank in Greensburg. She was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Greensburg, and was the first woman trustee of the church.  She was also a member of the Strock Sunday school class and numerous other church organizations. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, John Kunkle George, in 1995; her daughter, Ann Beard, in 2015; and a brother, Ian E. Robb. She is survived by her daughter, Mary (Harold) Prussia; and six grandchildren, Mary (Garrett) Blankenburg, Jennifer and Stephanie Beard,  Melissa Prussia,  Kevin (Misty)  and Jeffrey (Kristen)  Prussia; four great grandchildren;, a son-in-law, Charles Beard; sister, Ann R. Fishell; brother, Stewart D. Robb; and a niece and several  nephews. Family and friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, Pa. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the First Presbyterian Church, 300 S. Main St., Greensburg with Rev. Dr. Martin Ankrum officiating. Everyone go directly to the church. Interment will take place in the St. Clair Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Redstone Highlands Benevolent Care Fund, 6 Garden Center Drive, Greensburg, Pa. 15601.
