Jean F. Hess, 89 of Greensburg, passed away, Tuesday, November 20, 2012 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital.
She was born August 23, 1923 in Ebensburg and was the daughter of the late Henry and Essa Frantz .
Jean was a member of Bethel United Presbyterian Church in Monroeville and a member of Corinth Chapter 229 O.E.S. in Pitcairn for 50 years.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Harold K. Hess, her brothers, Brooks, Braiden, and Burnell Frantz, her sisters. Dorothy Strouse, Florence Meese, Ruth Bowers, Olive Strouse, Martha Penn, Mildred Pratt, Gearldine Taylor, Sarah Frantz, and Anne Robertson.
Surviving are her brothers, James Frantz of Nevada and Ronald Frantz of Washington and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 6 - 8 pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home, (an authorized remembrance provider) 524 North Main Street Greensburg. An Eastern Star service will be conducted by Corinth Chapter 229 on Sunday at 7:30pm in the funeral home.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 am with Rev. Nancy Titus officiating.
Interment will follow in the Restland Cemetery in Monroeville.
