Jean L. Newman, 95, of Greensburg passed away on Wednesday July 10, 2013 In Excela Westmoreland Hospital.
She was born August 9, 1917 in Ashland and was the daughter of the late John and Eunice O'Donnell Dence.
Jean was a member of Our Lady Of Grace Church and was formerly active with the Westmoreland County Medical Auxiliary and the Greensburg Garden Club.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dr. John H. Newman in 1990 and her brother and sister.
She is survived by her children Mary (Ted) Petti , Anne Newman (Jack Finn), Barbara (Chuck) Stone, Andrew (Beth) Newman, Robert (Kathleen) Newman, Dr. William (Patricia) Newman, 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 am in Our Lady Of Grace Church, 1001 Mt. Pleasant Road. Greensburg (Everyone please go directly to the church on Saturday.)
Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Westmoreland Food Bank, 100 Devonshire Drive, Delmont, Pa. or one's favorite charity.
