Jeanne M. Matthews, 64 of Jeannette, passed away, Saturday, September 26, 2015 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born February 9, 1951 in Greensburg a daughter of Mary (Walat) Hudak and the late John Hudak.
Jeanne was an associate with TJ Maxx, Greensburg and was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Jeannette. She had previously served as a girl scout leader and also enjoyed crossword puzzles. Jeanne was a wonderful caregiver and a loving, wife, mother and daughter. She was a talented cook and was always generous with her time and exceedingly compassionate.
In addition to her mother, Mary, she is survived by her husband, Gregory D. Matthews; two daughters, Rachel M. Harpel and Rebecca A. Schaefer and husband Brian; and a brother, Edward Hudak.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 am in Grace United Church of Christ 119 N. Second St., Jeanntte, with her pastor, Rev. Richard Lindsay Bignell officiating.
