Jeannette Stoup

August 24, 1926 — March 22, 2015

Jeannette A. Stoup, 88, of Hempfield Township, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015, at her home. She was born Aug. 24, 1926, in Hempfield Township, a daughter of the late Joseph and Lucinda (Silvis) Appleby.
Jeannette was a loving homemaker, caring for her family as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the First Reformed United Church of Christ, Greensburg, and a member of the North Hempfield Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph J. Stoup; her brothers and sister, Russell and Wayne Appleby, Nan Cope, Joseph and Kenneth Appleby and her four legged friend, Wimpy.
She is survived by her loving and devoted family, her daughter, Lucinda S. Mihun and husband, Thomas; her son, Ralph A. Stoup and wife, Marcie, all of Hempfield Township; four grandchildren, Duane Koontz (Lorraine), Bryan Stoup (Nikki), Chad Stoup (April), and Denise Ford (Andrew); five great-grandchildren, Haley and Isaac Stoup, Cameron Koontz, Vera Ford and Noelle Stoup; a sister, Marjorie Appleby; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, where her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Steven Craft officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Reformed United Church of Christ, 312 S.
