Jerome Spallino

Jerome S. “Jerry” Spallino, 75, of Greensburg, died Friday, November 30, 2018, in Family Hospice and Palliative Care, Pittsburgh.  He was born on September 6, 1943 in Charleroi, a son of the late James Spallino and Mary Aglio Spallino.  Jerry retired from Westmoreland County Community College where he taught Accounting for 31 years.  He was among the first faculty members hired in 1971.  He enjoyed a good joke and loved spending time with his family and friends.  He was an avid Penn State fan for over 30 years and a devoted Pirates fan-win or lose.  He enjoyed tailgating with great friends at PSU games, theater, golfing and concerts.  He is survived by his wife, Judith “Judy” Jones Spallino; sons, Anthony Spallino (Kim) 0f Winston-Salem, NC and Christopher Spallino of State College; stepsons, Brian Gilligan of San Jose, CA and Aaron Gilligan (Erica) of Cranberry Twp.; brothers, Carl Spallino (Carol) of Belle Vernon and James Spallino (Susan) of Rocky River, OH; a sister, Jennie Biddle of Horseheads, NY; also, numerous nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 4-8 pm at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg.  Jerry’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am in the funeral home.
