John H. Brandt, 83 of Unity Township, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012 in Latrobe Hospital.
He was born July 30, 1928 in Greensburg, PA, son of the late Henry and Ethel Lambie Brandt.
John was Lutheran by faith. He was an Assistant Scout Master for Troop #440 in Crabtree and a member of the Order of the Arrow and a former member of Bell Telephone Pioneers. He retired from the former Bell Telephone Company now Verizon Telephone.
Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey and a brother, Donald.
Surviving are his wife, Edna Mae Kennedy Brandt and sons, Paul H. Brandt of Greensburg and Scott D. Brandt of Pittsburgh, sister-in-law Gladys Brandt of Unity Twp., several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home, (an authorized remembrance provider) 524 North Main Street Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
Services will be at the funeral home Wednesday evening at 8pm
Private interment will take place at Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
