John Flanigan

John E. Flanigan, 76, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, June 24, 2015 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital. John was born on September 4, 1938, a son of the late John B. and Bertha (Ely) Flanigan. On July 9, 1966, he married Georgiann Stolick. He was a member of St. Bruno Parish, South Greensburg and the Knights of Columbus. John was a graduate of St. Vincent College. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a controller for ENI Engineering of Monroeville and later worked at Sears in the automotive department. John loved to go to Florida and visit friends and enjoy the sunshine. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Jack Betz and Paul Grippo, Jr. and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Betz. John is survived by his wife of 48 years, Georgiann Stolick Flanigan; 2 sisters, Carroll Sisti (Dom) of Greensburg and Katie Grippo and companion Rudy Tucci of Greensburg; 2 nieces, Maureen Svetkovich and Barbara Dawson and their families; 2 nephews, Dr. Matthew Stolick and Daniel Stolick and their families; a brother-in-law, Robert Stolick of Perryopis; also, numerous great nieces and great nephews; special friends, Mark Snyder and the Larry Arch Family. Family will receive friends at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg on Friday from 3-7 PM. Prayers of transfer will be recited at 9:30 AM on Saturday at the funeral home followed by John's funeral mass at 10 AM in St. Bruno Church, 1715 Poplar Street, South Greensburg, PA.
