John Hirst Jr.

John Thomas Hirst, Jr.,  90, of South Greensburg, died, Monday, November 22, 2021, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital.  He was born in South Greensburg on, May 16, 1931, a son of the late John Thomas Hirst, Sr., and Katherine Finner Hirst.  Prior to retirement, he was in the quality control department for Tooling Specialist, Inc.  He was a member of South Greensburg Methodist Church.  He enjoyed watching football, fishing, golfing and was a member of Robertshaw Acres Golf Club, where he was past president.  In high school he was an all-around athlete.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Hirst.  He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Mary Lee Giron Hirst; his daughters, Donna Board (Bob) and Marsha Koehler (Brian); 2 grandsons, Danny Worley (Kelly) and Larry Weimer (girlfriend, Melissa and her son, Colin); his great-grandchildren, Abigail and Chelsea Worley, Carter and Lily.  In accordance with the family wishes, there will be no visitation.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Robertshaw Acres Golf Club, 406 Albright Lake Road, Greensburg, PA 15601.
