John A. Montgomery, 76 of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, died, Monday, October 14, 2013 at Latrobe Area Hospital.
He was born June 24, 1937 in Franklin, PA, son of the late Harry E. and Alfreda S. Montgomery.
Prior to retirement, he was employed by Peoples Natural Gas Co., and Laurel Valley Motors. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Greensburg. JOhn enjoyed his family, friends, fishing, golfing, playing cards and boards games, and following the Pittsburgh sports teams.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harry 'Bud' Montgomery.
He is survived by his daughter, Ellen J. (Montgomery) Monnich and her husband, James of Greensburg; and grandsons, Steven J. Monnich of Spotsylvania, VA and Grant A. Monnich and his wife, Sara of Greensburg. He is also survived by nephew and best friend, Ted Montgomery.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4pm & 6-8pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home, (an authorized remembrance provider) 524 North Main Street Greensburg.
Services will be held at 11am on Thursday in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 501 Fairfield Drive, Greensburg with the Rev. Frank S. Podolinski officiating. (Everyone please go directly to the church.)
