Josephine Keibler

Josephine H. "Jo" Anderson Keibler, 93, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in Greensburg Care Center. She was born December 9, 1920, in North Charleroi, a daughter of the late Louis Bryan and Olive Belle Scott Ghrist. She resided in Unity Township for 33 years, before moving to Redstone Highlands in Greensburg. Jo was a graduate of Charleroi High School, class of 1938 and California University of Pennsylvania in 1954. From 1941-1942, she taught in the North Charleroi Public School and prior to retirement was a teacher in the Mountain View School of Greater Latrobe School District. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church, Greensburg, having served on many committees as well as for the district and conferences. Jo was a member of AARP, 3897, Greensburg College Club, Westmoreland Regional Hospital Auxiliary, and the Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania and National Teachers Associations. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, George W. Anderson, SR in 1993 and her second husband Walter Keibler in 2012; a brother, Louis M. Ghrist. Jo is survived by 3 sons, George W., JR (Marlene) of McVeytown, Kenneth P. (Janell) of Unity Township and Warren G. (Karol) of Ft. Lupton, CO; a daughter, Patricia Jo (Kenneth) Kaskan of Canonsburg; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; a sister, Olive (James) Higinbotham. Friends will be received Sunday from Noon to 1 PM at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street Greensburg. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 1PM in the funeral home. Interment will take place in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 110 Liberty Avenue, #E201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
