Josienne Piller
September 20, 1956 — December 16, 2012
Josienne N.Piller, of Greensburg, passed away early Sunday, December 16,
2012 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital. Born September 20, 1956, she is the
daughter of Barbara Nanney and the late Lawrence Nanney. Josie was an
Art Historian and professor at the University of Pittsburgh, Saint
Vincent College, Washington and Jefferson, and Carlow College. She also taught
classes for the Greensburg Art Club. Josienne completed her Bachelor's
degree at Bethany College and proceeded to receive her Master's degree in
Art History from the University of Pittsburgh.
Josie will be lovingly missed by her daughter, Julie, her siblings,
Michael, Paul, Patricia, and Mary, her mother Barbara, and her good
friend Robert Myers.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 PM and
6-8 PM at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street Greensburg. A
blessing service will be held in the funeral home at 10 am on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, monetary gifts may be made toward the education of
her daughter ,Julie, or to the Westmoreland Museum of American Art.
