Judith R. Paulone of Hempfield Township passed away on Tuesday, July4, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Judy was born on Tuesday, March 25, 1947, daughter of Dorothea and Harry Reid of Oak Park, IL. Judy is predeceased by brother, William Reid and parents Dorothea and Harry Reid; in-Laws Edwin and Marie Paulone. Judy is survived by her husband and the light of her life, Donald A. Paulone; son: David and Fiancé; (Kathleen) of Greensburg, son, Michael and wife (Leann) of Penn Township and son, Stephen; and wife (Jennifer) of Harrison City; brother, James Reid from Minneapolis, MN; sister-in-law, Sue Reid from Edina, MN, Becky Itle and husband (Gary) from The Villages, Florida; brother -in –law, Daniel and wife (Patrice) of Greensburg; sister-in-law Rachele Paulone and husband (Donald Rainville), Sewickley; granddaughters Makayla Paulone, Marina Paulone Alyssa Paulone, Jessica Paulone, Allison Paulone and Belle Capri Paulone; also, Judy is survived by numerous nieces and grandnephews.
Judy graduated from Trinity High School in River Forest, IL. Judy then earned her Bachelor of Science Degree – Marketing from Bradley University in Peoria, IL., where she met Don. Judy started working as a buyer / trainee in Chicago for the Sears Roebuck Company.
Married Saturday, May 16, 1970, and having raised three sons, Judy volunteered at the Westmoreland Hospital and was the President & Vice President of Hospital Auxiliary- Unit V, Hospital Auxiliary Board Member and Christmas Auctioneer. Judy was also the Co -Director and founder of Countrywide Pre-school vision screening program.
Judy also was also directly involved with David and Stephen’s Greensburg Central Catholic High School sports, varsity soccer team Board of Directors and the Vice President of the hockey team.
Judy continued her volunteer service as Chairman for the support of her son David’s interest in competitive swimming from 1977 - 1987 for the Western Pennsylvania Regional state swim meets.
Judy received her Pennsylvania Real Estate license in 1986 and Judy started her own real estate company called Cedar Ridge Realty Inc. while also working for and with Donald A Paulone Custom Built Homes Inc.
Judy’s many personal achievements include ; Multi- Million dollar Sales person, Diamond Performance Plus Award receipt and award Recipient, Board Of Realtors Top New Construction Salesperson, Full time realtor with expertise in financing as well as the local market, Relocation Specialist, Certified Buyer Agent, President of the Westmoreland Board of Realtors for 2022, Co -Chairman of Board Of Realtors Legislative Community, Board Of Realtors Professional Standards Hearing Panel Member, Board of Realtors Grievance Committee Member. Agency Buyer Certification as well as Certified Real Estate Specialist. And Sales Marketing Council. Judy chaired as the chairman of the Certified Real Estate Professional Standard Committee and Grievance Committee. She has also served as her vice president, treasurer secretary and incoming president.
Judy has always said that she had four points to live by:
All four points you’re good to go.
The rest will fall into place.
The Paulone’s would like to thank all of the nurse’s aides, nurses and staff who were there 24/7 and who came on a daily basis providing unconditional care, friendship and love for Judy. We are very appreciate of everything that the team at Redstone had done allowing Judy to be as comfortable as possible leading up to her last second of life at home with her family by her side.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the American Cancer Society and the Parkinson’s Foundation.
Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, July 7, 2023, at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg. A funeral mass for Judy will be held at 10 am Saturday, July 8, 2023, in Our Lady of Grace Church, 1011 Mt. Pleasant Road, Greensburg, PA. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church.
