Julia Hoke

Julia A. (Mrs. Patrick B.) Hoke, 86 of Greensburg, formerly of Pleasant Unity passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital.

She was born May 25, 1924 in Carpentertown, a Daughter of the late George and Anna Jubara Wallak.

Julia was a graduate of Seton Hill College and received her Masters from the University of Pittsburgh.

Prior to retiring Julia was a School Teacher for Greensburg Salem School District .

She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Rosary Confraternity , Greensburg College Club, PSERS, AARP # 4729, American Sewing Guild and Westmoreland Co. Historical Society.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers John Roccor , George Wallak Jr., Joseph and Andrew Wallak and five sisters Mary Koshar, Ann Lawrence, Helen Galvanek, Marie Sabatine and Catherine Crawford. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are her husband, Patrick Hoke and Son, Patrick "Ricky" Hoke, Jr. of Pittsburgh, a Daughter, Julie Ann Gault and husband Matthew of Greensburg, two Grandchildren, Matthew T. and Rebecca C.Gault, Numerous beloved Nieces and Nephews to whom she was known as" Aunt Babe".

Friends and family will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, Inc. 524 North Main St.,Greensburg.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 AM Thursday in St. Joe's chapel at Bishop William G. Connare Center, 2900 Seminary Drive, Greensburg .
Interment will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
