June Jones

May 30, 1935 — December 3, 2016

June Roehrig Jones, 81, of New Stanton, formerly of Greensburg, died Saturday, December 3, 2016 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital.  She was born on May 30, 1935, a daughter of the late Frank Roehrig and Nora Baker Roehrig.  She was a member of South Greensburg Methodist Church.  June was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and took care of her family.  When her children were growing up, she liked to take them to see Christmas lights.  She was always there for her children and after they married she “stayed out of their lives” and only helped out with advice when asked.  June sewed “cancer caps” and gowns for patients at Arnold Palmer Cancer Center.  She lovingly made her grandchildren pajamas every year for Christmas.  June also enjoyed making and painting crafts.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 7 siblings.  June is survived by her husband of 60 years, William James “Bill” Jones; her children, Scott Jones (Colette) of Reinholds, PA and Beverly Silvis (Gary) of Mt. Pleasant; her grandchildren, Adam (Tara), Clay (Lauren) and Matt Jones, Andrea Hartgraves (Matt) and Paul Silvis; a great grandson, Liam; her sister, Deanna Roehrig of Mt. Pleasant and brother, Thomas Roehrig of Birmingham, Alabama; in-laws, Raymond Ghrist and Peg and Thomas Jamison, all of Greensburg; also, several nieces and nephews.   According to family wishes there, will be no public visitation.   June’s funeral service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg with Pastor Jack Tickle officiating.  Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Arnold Palmer Cancer Center, 200 Village Drive, Greensburg, PA 15601.  For online condolences please visit www.kepplegraft.com
