June 10, 1924 — July 29, 2012

June H. Palmer, 88, of Greensburg, passed away, Sunday, July 29, 2012 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born June 10, 1924 in Greensburg a daughter of the late Albert G. and Elsie E. (Bickel) Helbig.

Mrs. Palmer was a loving homemaker caring for her family and home. She enjoyed canning and trips to the family camp. She was also a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trauger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Palmer.

She is survived by her three children, Beverly A. Dohey and husband Andrew of Hempfield Township; Thomas E. Palmer and wife Charlene of Butler and Daniel J. Palmer of Unity Township; four grandchildren, Michelle Wile and husband Robert and Melissa Fauth and husband Greg all of Hempfield Township; Julie Palmer and fiancAC. Doug Cogley and Janine Palmer and fiancAC. Ed Wagner all of Butler; four great-grandchildren, Dante and Conner Fauth and A.J. and Nick Wile; sisters-in-law, Janet Palmer, Marion Palmer and Clara Palmer and a brother-in-law, Charles Snyder and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 4-7 pm in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 N. Main St. Greensburg (an authorized remembrance provider) where services will be held Wednesday at 10 am in the funeral home with Rev. Mark A. Werner officiating. Private interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the staff of Emeritus at Latrobe; Heartland Hospice; and the 3rd floor staff of Excela Health Westmoreland for the care they provided to June. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trauger or a charity of one's choice.
