Karen L. Smith, 59 of Greensburg passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2011 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
She was born Friday, October 19, 1951 in Greensburg, Daughter of Elizabeth M. Smith of Greensburg and the late Richard B. Smith .
Karen worked as a comprehensive counselor for Excela Health Systems Behavioral Health Services.
Karen was a loving daughter, mother, sister , aunt and friend and will be sadly missed by all.
Surviving besides her mother is her son, Richard Shawn Pratt and wife Jennifer of Greensburg and grandson Miles, two sisters, Constance Y. Kegler of Greensburg and Carole M. Kushner of Munhall, a Brother, Richard B. Smith and wife Michelle of Texas along with and a uncle Kenneth H. Donahoe of Greensburg and several nieces and nephews, Sharon Stoken, Travis Giesey, Kimberly Davis, Deborah Taylor, Eric Smith and Lenae Smith and several great nieces and nephews.
Her family wishes to thank the Nurses and Doctors of the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital and the Hillman Cancer Center for their wonderful care and compassion.
Family and Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday in the funeral home at 12:15 followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 1:00 pm in St. Joseph's Chapel (Bishop Connare Center).
Interment will follow in the Westmoreland Co. Memorial Park
