Katherine Maloy

Katherine "Kay" Smith Maloy, 97, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Redstone Highlands, Greensburg. She was born in Boston, PA on June 11, 1918, a daughter of the late John Earl and Florence Barton Smith. Prior to retirement, she sold fine jewelry and real estate. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Greensburg. Kay resided in Redstone Highlands for 17 years. Prior to that, she and her husband Howard lived in Washington, DC before moving to West Palm Beach, FL, where they enjoyed golfing together. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Maloy in 1984; 3 sisters, Hilda Smith Kilbury, Dorothy Smith Dunlap and Florence Smith Bryson. Kay is survived by her 2 brothers, John Smith of Zelienople and Robert Smith of Murrysville; also, many loving nieces and nephews. Services and interment will be private. Kay's family would like to thank the Redstone Highlands staff for all their years of kindness and care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Redstone Highlands Benevolent Fund, 8 Garden Center Drive, Greensburg, PA 15601.
